NIALL GEANEY says Dingle's pride of place helped them turn around their All-Ireland semifinal against Ballyboden St Enda’s.

- BY STEPHEN BARRY

PRIDE & HUMILITY

The comeback kings trailed until the 52nd minute against Austin Stacks in the Kerry final, until the 64th minute against St Finbarr's in the Munster final, and until the 77th minute against the Dublin champions on Saturday.

For their latest great escape, Dingle gave themselves a 10-point mountain to climb, but produced an inspired fightback in an extra-time epic at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

"It’s a position that we've been in many times," said Geaney.

"Mid Kerry, we were down six points. We've been down against Stacks. We were down against the Barrs for the whole game, nearly.

"We just kept the faith. We knew that we had that extra bit in the tank, that belief that we feel we're so proud of our club, our town.

"We've great pride in who we are and where we're from.
