Badge blunder but Elanga focus is now on 'nine cup finals'

- BY STEVE JUDGE

ANTHONY ELANGA may not be able to locate a club badge but he had no trouble finding the back of the net at Portman Road.

The Premier League's second fastest player may have been too swift for struggling Ipswich to handle.

But he did not look the sharpest when he celebrated the first of his two strikes in four first-half minutes by pointing to the Adidas logo.

It was the only blot on the Swede’s copybook as he banged in his first brace.

And now he has his focus on “nine cup finals” as third-placed Nottingham Forest look to clinch a place in the Champions League after the international break.

Elanga said: “It is about being clinical. We hurt them in transition.

“We just have to keep going. We have nine finals left. I call them finals because they are really important games. We really want to finish the season as strong as possible.”

It did not take long for the online hawks to jump on Elanga's error and one wag joked: “If you cut him open, the man would bleed Adidas.”

But as another pointed out: “The only thing he missed all day was his badge.”
