Pipe threat to downed pilot

AN AMERICAN fighter pilot who parachuted from an F-15 shot down over Kuwait was confronted by a local wielding a metal pipe.
Footage shows a group of men approaching the airman as he stands following his brush with death.
One man is seen brandishing a pipe while others shout, apparently believing the pilot to be Iranian.
The serviceman can be heard repeatedly shouting "back up, stop" as the group moves towards him.
The tense confrontation eases when the pilot makes clear he is American and the men leave him unharmed.
The pilot had been aboard one of three US fighter jets mistakenly shot down over Kuwait on Monday.
Earlier footage showed the €78million aircraft spiralling out of control before crashing to the ground.
