Parents still printing Holy Communion big day pics

FIRST Holy Communion remains a rite of passage for thousands of Irish children each year, and it seems proud parents are sticking to traditional mementos of the big day.

New research has found that taking photos is still a hugely important part of the Holy Communion, with printed snaps the format of choice for most parents.

From those surveyed, 52 per cent of schools do not organise a professional photographer for Holy Communion, so parents and family capture photos of their child's big day.
