Meghan bottom-fishing for podcast ideas...
Irish Daily Star
|April 26, 2025
MONTECITO, home of Meghan Markle, overlooks the Pacific Ocean, home of a variety of flatfish species that have both eyes on one side and live on the ocean floor.
I'm not making excuses - except for this next one - but this may at least partly explain why I misread the name of Meghan's podcast, which isn't called 'Confessions of a Female Flounder'.
I'd never particularly had Meghan down as someone who would make runny jam, so it didn’t take mental gymnastics to imagine her trying to monetise species like the California halibut.
There are previous examples of podcasts about flounder including 'The Lost Art of Winter Flounder Fishing' which got a good review on the esteemed publication outdoor-life.com.
PRINCES
So it's not the cover of Vanity Fair, but thoughts of the Duchess of Sussex doing a deep dive - maybe not literally - into flounder wasn’t completely out of character.
