JJ is once, twice, three times a Red

- BY MICHAEL SCULLY

JJ Hanrahan reckons some people think he's made for coming back to Munster for a third spell.

The 33-year-old is from Castleisland in Kerry and Munster are heading there for a training day next week. The squad has also spent time at Rockwell College, where he received his rugby education.

Hanrahan admits he never saw himself coming back to play in Ireland when he left the Reds for a second time to play for Clermont and then Dragons, only to then spend two years in Galway.

“I loved my time in Galway, and I think Galway definitely has a place in my heart forever more,’ he said.
