PLAYER OF THE MATCH Roisin Leonard said capturing the Lidl National Football League Division 2 title is a big boost to Galway.
Lynsey Noone and Leonard bagged second-half goals at Croke Park on Saturday as the Tribes came from behind to oust Cork by 2-8 to 1-5.
"We've had some bad days in Croke Park, so it's actually really, really nice to have a positive end," said Leonard.
"We're not used to winning things and we're not afraid to say that.
"We're just absolutely delighted to win and I don't care if it's just the League, we're very, very happy to win it."
