FOOTAGE of rap band Kneecap allegedly calling for the death of British MPs is being assessed by UK counter-terrorism police.

Video emerged of the band at a November 2023 gig appearing to hear someone say: "The only good Tory is a dead Tory. Kill your local MP"

Another clip emerged of another gig in London which reportedly showed a band member shouting "Up Hamas, up Hezbollah" and a Hezbollah flag being displayed. Both are groups banned in the UK and it is a crime to express support for them.

A spokesman for the Met said: "We were made aware of a video and it has been referred to the counter terrorism internet referral unit for assessment and to determine whether any further police investigation may be required.
