William, to bring about.

The British government was consulted and made it clear it supports the decision as constitutionally proper.

In order for Andrew's titles to be formally removed, the Duke of York peerage will be removed from the Peerage Roll to ensure it cannot be used officially.

The king is sending Royal Warrants to the lord chancellor to secure the removal of the Dukedom of York from the roll.

It means that an Act of Parliament will not be required to officially remove Andrews titles, which also include Earl of Inverness and Baron Killyleagh.

His daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will not be affected by any changes.
