KELLY: AIMING SMALL KEY TO TIPP DEFENCE

EOIN Kelly has urged Tipperary not to take the little wins for granted when they draw up their grand plan for defending the MacCarthy Cup in 2026.

A successful All-Ireland title defence for the first time since 1965 will be Tipp's target but Kelly, who captained them to the 2010 title, and also won in 2001, speaks from experience when he points out how difficult it is to retain the silverware.

Only Limerick and Kilkenny have done it since Cork in 2005 and Kelly described those two teams as ‘rare’ and ‘generational talents’.
