IN THE wake of an exhilarating Winter Racing Festival, there remains much to entertain on track amidst party season at Shelbourne Park tonight.
One week ago, a standout highlight of the festival was the triumphant return to action for Graham Holland's (inset) Cheap Sandwiches as the Derby champion claimed the featured 550-yard event in highly professional manner.
However, the reigning king was thoroughly examined by young pretender Ballymac Setanta until that Liam Dowling prodigy checked his stride at the closing bends following an epic tussle to that point. A snapshot of what next season might look like!
Action at the festival concluded with the tightest finish of the event and announcing the retirement of his superstar racer, Liam Dowling declared the championship 600 as a last appearance for the De Lahdedah.
In another high-class buckle with Coosane Pickles, the 2024 English Derby hero singed off with one final elite winning performance and is certain to prove popular on the breeding scene.
