Spain cops suggest Liverpool star was speeding
DIOGO Jota is thought to have been driving the Lamborghini that burst into flames, killing him and his brother, police say.
The Liverpool and Portugal star, 28, and Andre Silva, 25, died after the high-performance supercar had a suspected tyre blowout last Thursday night in Zamora, northwest Spain.
The local Guardia Civil said initial tests by its traffic division also suggested the car may have been travelling above the speed limit of 120kph.
A spokesman said: “They are studying the tread marks left by one of the wheels of the vehicle.
