'It's just such a terribly cruel disease'

A WOMAN is gearing up for a huge challenge in memory of her late dad.

Belfast native Claire Williamson, 42, lost her 61-year-old father Michael Pettigrew on June 12, 2022, after his 15-month Motor Neurone Disease (MND) battle.

Now she aims to raise funds for the UK Motor Neurone Disease Association with a ‘7 In 7 challenge’.

Michael was officially diagnosed with MND days before Christmas 2020.
