I'm just 'BRAD' to be of service again
Irish Daily Star
|July 11, 2025
HIS return to the Tyrone setup attracted far fewer headlines than his departure did in 2022, but Mark Bradley says he is enjoying playing county football again, especially under the new rules.
The Red Hands won a fourth All-Ireland title in 2021, but Bradley was one of seven players who departed ahead of the defence of their All-Ireland crown the following season.
Ronan O'Neill, Lee Brennan, Tiernan McCann, Hugh Pat McGeary and Michael Cassidy were also unavailable for 2022.
Bradley was coaxed back by new Tyrone boss Malachy O'Rourke at the start of this year and is fighting for a place in the team for tomorrow's semifinal against Kerry after recovering from a calf injury.
"Firstly, it's been great. It always has been, we've a great group of lads, the management have been excellent as well," said Bradley.
"I suppose on a personal level, the decision to come back, I was just enjoying my football.
"I wanted to do a bit of travelling in the years that I was away.
"That was really the only reason.
"I really enjoyed my football with the club last year and I thought why not?
"I've had a few niggles, but I'm back training now. I'm good to go."
