I FOUND LIST OF DREAMS
Irish Daily Star
|June 27, 2025
I FOUND my girlfriend's “bucket list” typed up on the kitchen table.
-
It sent a chill down my spine. It’s extremely long and details all the things she wishes to do, see and achieve over the next five, 10 and 15 years.
From skydiving in Switzerland to swimming with dolphins in Mexico and washing elephants in Bali, her ideas are big, bold and adventurous.
The problem is that she knows I am terrified of flying and don’t like foreign food.
We've been together for three years and any time we go on holiday it’s to Irish seaside resorts or posh camping sites.
We travel by train, because I get car sick, and mainly eat fish and chips because I have limited tastes.
What this list says to me - in big, plain type - is that I’m not part of her future, that as soon as she’s saved up enough money, she plans to take on the world.
