21 kids 'die of hunger' in 72 hours Charity demands Israel sanctions

HIS body emaciated by hunger, a little boy stares helplessly at the camera in a haunting image that portrays the horrors of life under the Israeli siege in Gaza.

One-year-old Muhammad Zakariya Ayyoub al-Matouq weighs less than a stone as medics said 21 kids died of starvation over 72 hours.

The harrowing tales of hunger sparked appeals for sanctions against Israel and claims countries across the globe were complicit in the slaughter by not doing more to stop it.

Last night, 109 charities demanded Israel lift its blockade on Gaza to allow a full UN-led distribution of aid.

Gaza City’s Al-Shifa hospital director, Dr Mohammed Abu Salmiya, said 900,000 children have no food, with 70,000 already malnourished.
