SHAMROCK ROVERS' hopes of a return to league phase football in Europe was boosted when the draw for the Europa Conference League second qualifying round paired them with the winners of St Joseph's and Cliftonville.
The Hoops were handed a late bye to the second round after Drogheda United failed to get their European axing overturned by CAS. If Cliftonville overcome their opponents from Gibraltar, it will mean a return to Tallaght Stadium for Jim Magilton, Michael O'Neill's (left) assistant when Rovers first qualified for group stage football.
