SHAMROCK Rovers fans were treated to a Graham Burke masterclass last night as the Hoops saw off Waterford far more comfortably than suggested by the scoreline.

Aaron McEneff and Lee Grace got on the scoresheet but it was the brilliant Burke who stole the show.

His failure to find the net last night wasn't for the lack of trying. Shots were blocked, a free-kick went over, a header clipped the crossbar, and there were a couple of saves too.

Kacper Radkowski found him too hot to handle on ‘one occasion in the second-half, when Burke causally knocked the ball through his legs, raced into the box and was denied by a block.

Another dribble into the area ended with a fierce shot that goalkeeper Stephen McMullan did well to palm over his crossbar.
