Fundraiser after tragic death of arm break boy, 8

A FUNDRAISER has been launched to support the family of an eight-year-old who died after suffering complications in the days following a broken arm.

Matthew Breen, from Rathnew, Co Wicklow, passed away at Crumlin Children's Hospital, Dublin, on November 17.

He had been rushed by ambulance to hospital on November 6, after he broke his arm in two places while at school.

Sent home, his mum Ciara later took him to Crumlin Hospital to undergo planned surgery on his broken arm.
