Francis briefly returns to bless Rome faithful

POPE Francis made a brief appearance yesterday to bless the thousands of people in St Peter's Square in Rome.
-
His Easter Sunday arrival drew cheers and applause from the crowd as he continues his recovery from a near-fatal bout of double pneumonia.
Francis said, his voice sounding stronger than it has since his admission to hospital: "Brothers and sisters, Happy Easter."
Francis did not celebrate the Easter Mass in the piazza, delegating it to Cardinal Angelo Comastri, the retired archpriest of St Peter's Basilica.
