MMA star calls for people to badger councillors in cringe' rant at Leinster House
CONOR McGregor has begged people to message county councillors in a desperate attempt to get his name on the Irish presidency ballot paper.
In a long, rambling video outside Leinster House, labelled "cringe" and "embarrassing" by people on social media, the Dubliner puts forward his case to be Michael D Higgins' successor.
In the clip, McGregor, 37, once again appears to misunderstand the role and powers of the Irish President.
It comes as The Star revealed that none of the country's 31 local councils have put forward a nomination for any presidential candidate, despite the MMA star's claim that he has "councils on board" for an Aras run.
