DENISE: WEDDING PLANS MUST SUIT WARD'S SIDE
Irish Daily Star
|April 08, 2025
DENISE O'Sullivan showed off her engagement ring ahead of a huge night for the Cork native and her Girls in Green teammates and promised to "take the international calendar into consideration" when setting the date for her wedding.
O'Sullivan will captain Carla Ward's side in the absence of Katie McCabe when Ireland take on Greece for the second time in four days in the Nations League tonight.
She will win her 123rd cap, just 11 shy of Emma Byrne's record, with O'Sullivan and her teammates favourites to take the points after putting four past the Greeks in Crete last Friday.
O'Sullivan (inset) sat alongside new head coach Ward at the pre-match press conference yesterday morning to speak about the game with her new engagement ring on show.
Asked if she had some personal news, the midfielder replied: "I mean, I got engaged."
Ward followed up: "It is a very nice ring, may I add."
