Today FM star shares diagnosis & urges men to get checked

TODAY FM's Dec Pierce has revealed he has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

The DJ, who hosts the popular Block Rockin’ Beats show, is facing the diagnosis just two years after suffering a brain haemorrhage.

Taking to Instagram to share the news with his followers, he revealed he was taking the journey “one step at a time’, but wanted to share his diagnosis to raise awareness that “men can get breast cancer too” and urged other men to be mindful of any symptoms and seek help.

He wrote: “Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. After the brain haemorrhage two years ago, it’s not something I ever thought Td be facing - but here we are, and I'm taking it one step at a time.

“T've already had two surgeries at the Mater Private and am now focusing on recovery and the next stage of treatment.
