AN ultra-rare original Apple computer, a historic Oscar statuette, and handwritten letters by some of history's most iconic figures raked in over £1.57 million (€1.8m) at auction.

The top-selling item was a fully operational original Apple One computer, which came complete with its rare byte shop wooden case, that raked in an eye-watering £351,928.05 (€403,063.20).
These versions of the Apple One are incredibly rare, with only nine known in existence.
It is reported that RR Auctions hosted the Remarkable Rarities bidding war on 20 September.
