Burke wants progress with Rossies

DAVY Burke insists his plan is to smash through the ceiling and see Roscommon ease a 34-year itch.

The Rossies have been consistently in Gaelic footballs top 10 for the last decade but have never managed to break through the quarter-final stage. And Burke wants to be the manager who delivers on that promise, especially as the Rossies have won a fifth promotion in 11 years to the top flight.

But the Championship is where they want to make their mark - 34 years passing since they were last in an All-Ireland semi-final.
