The Hoops slumped to a damaging 2-0 defeat in Glasgow but were left stunned after Kelechi Iheanacho was denied a second half leveller due to a bizarre handball call.

Hoops legend Chris Sutton branded the flash point ‘the worst decision of all time’ as Ref Tobias Steiler ruled out the strike - and VAR Christian Dingert inexplicably backed up the call.

The Hoops were left chasing after Ricardo Horta’s 35 yard stunner (right) left Kasper Schmeichel flummoxed and were denied a route back by the dodgy call.

And Celts paid the price for missed chances when Gabri Martinez sealed it with a late second.
