MAKEEN has better recent form on turf, but has become well-handi capped even on his old all-weather form and is worth chancing in a race where few know how to win.

Julie Camacho’ eight-year-old has been placed three times in six starts on the Tapeta at Newcastle, all in better grade than this, and was also placed off a stone higher at Doncaster last month.

The handicapper has quickly released his grip, and with Camacho (below) operating at a 19 per cent strike-rate in the last four weeks, Makeen should be very competitive in an admittedly open race.
