Dalymount a happy hunting ground again

DALYMOUNT PARK used to be a happy hunting ground for Derry City and a theatre of screams for Bohemians.

The Gypsies endured a truly wretched run on their own patch, stretching back to last season and fed-up fans wondered if the good times would ever resurface.

But Bohs’ impressive upturn in fortunes has erased those haunting memories and turned the jeers into cheers after moving into joint second.

Rid of that toxic environment, Dalymount was dancing as supporters roared their approval at trumping a Derry side that had won here six times in their last nine visits.

And Alan Reynolds' men were better value for the points than the slender winning margin suggests as the 10-man Candystripes left it far too late to salvage anything.
