Firm's pledge despite strike threat

STOUT lovers across Ireland and the UK have been assured there won't be a shortage of Guinness in pubs this Christmas.

The drink’s manufacturer Diageo has rebutted allegations that the UK could be facing a Guinness 0.0 drought over the coming weeks after workers at their Belfast factory unanimously voted down what their union has labelled an “inadequate” pay proposal.
