Gypsies make hay as rivals Rovers & Derry drop points

- BY MARK McCADDEN

IT turned out as good a night's work as Bohemians could have expected - three points at home to Waterford while Shamrock Rovers and Derry City dropped two each.

As unlikely as a late title charge is, given Rovers’ seven-point advantage and two games in hand, it could make for an interesting night in Tallaght next Friday should the Hoops drop more points on Monday at Waterford.

Of more immediate importance is the impact that these results have had on the European race, with Bohs leapfrogging Derry back into second place.

For some time, however, it didn't look as though Gypsies fans would be smiling as they struggled for most of the opening half to make an impression.
