AUTHOR Julia Donaldson had to rewrite one of her best-selling books so it could be turned into a BBC animation for Christmas Day.
This year, millions will settle down to watch The Scarecrows' Wedding the 13th adaptation of Julia and illustrator Axel Scheffler's children stories which have become a festive staple.
The half-hour animated special boasts an all-star voice cast, which includes Gavin and Stacey's Rob Brydon, Hamnet actress Jessie Buckley, The Paper star Domhnall Gleeson and Slow Horses actress Sophie Okonedo.
