MANCHESTER UNITED will not get a Carabao Cup reprieve despite Grimsby fielding an ineligible player against them in their second-round giant-killing.
A registration error around midfielder Clarke Oduor has seen the Mariners fined £20,000 - £10,000 of which has been suspended until the end of this season - rather than kicked out of the competition.
