Tributes to Tyrone hero McKeagney

TRIBUTES have been paid to Tom McKeagney, the former Tyrone senior football manager, who has passed away.

An intercounty star in the 1960s, he would go on to manage his county while also serving as an assistant to Art McRory when the Red Hands reached their first All-Ireland final in 1986.

He also helped Augher win their first Tyrone SFC title in 1976.

Tyrone GAA hailed him as “stalwart who kept the faith” when the Red Hands weren't an established force.
