TWO-time Irish Olympian and Cycling Hall of Famer Peter Doyle has passed away at the age of 79.

'Doyler', who hailed from Wicklow, was one of Ireland's greatest road racers in the 1960s and 1970s.

The Bray Wheelers legend competed at the 1968 and 1972 Olympics and won the Tour of Ireland in '68 and the Ras Tailteann in 1974. He was also victorious in two editions of the Shay Elliott Memorial Race ('68 and 1973).
