Rian O'Neill shoots the lights out as Cross go for 48th

THE club season is fast heading towards the business end of affairs, with next weekend's Waterford hurling final one of the first big showpiece deciders pencilled in.

With action going on all over the country in both codes, some of the biggest names in the game are back in action for their clubs.

KARL O'KANE takes a look at some of the stories unfolding in the GAA world.

PAUL GEANEY MASTERLCASS NOT ENOUGH FOR DINGLE

THE Kerry Club Championship reaches the semifinal stage next weekend with Na Gaeil facing Rathmore on Saturday at Lewis Road and holders Dr Crokes up against Kenmare Shamrocks the following day at Austin Stack Park.

Na Gaeil have never won the title and survived a Paul Geaney masterclass in the weekend quarterfinal.

The Kerry star hit six two-pointers (three frees) after coming in as a first-half sub on 18 minutes.

The 2023 champions Dingle were without county stars Dylan and Conor Geaney, Tom O'Sullivan and Barry Dan O'Sullivan.
