Bargain-loving Denise Van Outen presents this new money-saving programme which shows us how to shop smarter at discount stores

'There are real gems to be found'

Denise Van Outen returns to Channel 4 to shake up your supermarket routine and save you cash, one swap at a time.

In The Big Pound Shop Swap, she challenges picky shoppers to ditch the big brands and give discount stores a chance.

"We're uncovering loads of cheaper alternatives, and not just for the basics," Denise says. "It's about showing people that you don't always have to spend loads to get decent quality."

As a busy mum to 15-year-old Betsy, Denise, 51, knows a thing or two about high-street bargains.

"I shop in discount stores. In fact, I enjoy browsing around them. I often go into B&M, there's one near me. I shop for things for my pets there - I have two dogs," says Denise, who owns two French bulldogs called Tilly and Remy.
