Stanway's passion for tattooing helped her win race for recovery
DURING a tough rehabilitation after serious knee surgery, Georgia Stanway admits there were “terrible days”, but the England midfielder had a tried and trusted way of dealing with the dark times... she reached for her tattoo gun.
The result is a left leg embellished with a whole host of tattoos and a player who is now fit and ready to ink her name in the Lionesses’ history books.
Stanway featured in every game of England's successful Euro 2022 campaign and in all of their matches as Sarina Wiegman's team reached the final of World Cup 2023.
