- RACHEL BERESFORD & ROHAN SMYTΗ

STAR OF THE SHOW

ROYAL Caribbean has been making waves in the cruise world for years now — with the company's private island Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas a particular thrill for families.

The cruise liner currently has 28 ships in its fleet, with the newest ship, Star of the Seas, in the Icon Class, launching this year.

The new Icon of vacations will introduce new jaw-dropping entertainment, like Back to the Future: The Musical as well as more unique ways to dine and make memories.

This week we are taking a closer look at the Star's all-encompassing line-up of show-stopping entertainment and dining experiences — from Lincoln Park Supper Club to three new concepts at the Icon Class signature favourite, AquaDome Market — ready to shine on Star of the Seas when it debuts this August in Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida.

Star will have the boldest entertainment at sea to date with five signature shows across stage, air, water and ice.

Guests will be on the edge of their seats with all-day entertainment, including new theatrical productions, live music from the largest orchestra at sea, state-of-the-art technology, and daring stunts from incredible high divers, aerialists and more.

And when it comes to what's on the menu on Star, adventurers can refuel and satisfy their culinary cravings with more than 40 spots to dine and drink with something for every palate.
