JUSTIN ROSE claimed he can relate to Scottie Scheffler's “good perspective” on golf and life after his latest Major near miss at the Masters.
World No.1 Scheffler described his job this week as “an unsatisfying venture” and admitted he feels: “What is the point?
Ryder Cup veteran Rose said he has been able to look at the bigger picture following his Augusta playoff defeat to Rory McIlroy - his fifth runner-up finish at a Major since his 2013 US Open win.
The world No.21 said: “It was a cool take to hear what Scottie (below right) was saying. Golf, obviously, is what he loves to do, but it doesn't define him.
“For sure, I've been in that similar situation in terms of getting to World No.1. It's something you strive and strive for, and you achieve it and youre like, ‘Oh, okay’. It's not necessarily what you imagine it to be.
