|October 22, 2025
GARDAI are investigating after seven officers were attacked in separate incidents over three days in the same town.
They were targeted in Dungarvan, Co Waterford, between Friday and Sunday. All of the officers were attacked - and four are still off duty over their injuries.
Local commander Chief Superintendent Anthony Pettit said: “It is unacceptable any of them should be assaulted while on duty. These incidents will be fully investigated.”
AGGRESSIVE
When officers responded to an incident at house on Friday night, they encountered an aggressive and drunk woman.
