Dyche doubts City boss will join his stars in a festive fitness check

- BY SARAH CLAPSON

NOTTINGHAM FOREST boss Sean Dyche has questioned whether Manchester City counterpart Pep Guardiola will apply his high fitness standards to himself.

Guardiola revealed his players will be weighed prior to their trip to the City Ground at the weekend to make sure they have not overindulged at Christmas.

Forest will not be following suit, with Dyche simply urging his squad to show “common sense” as they enjoy the festive period.

Asked whether he would be following City’s lead by weighing his players, Dyche quipped: “I think it’s unlikely! I presume you are mentioning it because of what Pep said?

‘Is he weighing himself in, do you think? I wonder how it works. One rule for one... come on, Pep!’
