The Hornets’ Danish striker Luca Kjerrumgaard (above) grabbed both goals in the space of four first-half minutes on a stunning home league debut for the on-loan Udinese man.
It meant a memorable 36th birthday celebration for Watford's veteran French midfielder Sissoko.
His former Toulouse teammate Keben, 21, said: “He's an old man, so this win was for him. He's a great guy, he pushes us every day, so it's a nice result for him.
