SHANE LOWRY knows he has to shoot low over the weekend to have any chance after a “shocking” start to his Irish Open second round.
But LIV's Tom McKibbin is ready to embrace the noise if he can lead the home charge at the K Club.
Lowry endured another frustrating day, finishing as he started on 3-under par and is nine shots behind pacesetter Joakim Lagergren.
And that’s despite holing out from deep rough for an eagle on the par 4 13th from 87 yards.
Dropping two shots in his first three holes didn’t help.
“It's just one of those days,” sighed the Clara man. “I feel like I hit the ball really well obviously off the tee.
"Then it was just weird, I don't know, my iron play was a little poor. Then I was sloppy and I missed the green.
