Littlejohn abuse riles boss Carla

CARLA WARD says some of the comments she has seen on social media targeting Ireland midfielder Ruesha Littlejohn have been “disgusting”.

Littlejohn was sent off while playing for Crystal Palace against Leicester City in a League Cup clash for wrestling Foxes player Hannah Cain to the ground.

Initially handed a three-game ban, she could face further censure as the FA are looking for a longer suspension.

But now Littlejohn (above) is being targeted by trolls on social media and it's that, not the potential for an extended spell on the sidelines, that is concerning her Ireland manager.
