WE'D have one last throw of the dice. And that's where the famous 41 phases of play began that culminated with Johnny landing his immortal drop goal in the 83rd minute.

I have to confess when I saw the clock in the red I doubted whether we'd get it done. It crossed my mind that our supposed-to-be glorious 2018 campaign was already over after one match.

Partly it was because of the heavy ground and the rain that had fallen. It just made everything more laborious.
