Joanna bids to join Aras race

Former RTE weather presenter Joanna Donnelly has announced she intends to run for the Presidency - and is seeking nominations.
-
The ex-Met Eireann forecaster told RTE last night that she had written to all local authorities to express her interest.

Ms Donnelly said: “Just before midnight last night, I sent in emails to the chairs of the county councils, literally all of them, because I have no reason to believe that anybody would actually take this seriously.
“So I just threw the net wide and said I'll see what happens.
