HOUSE PRICES SOARING

HIT an eight-year high with prices continuing to spiral upwards, a report has found.

The House Price Report, compiled by property website Daft.ie, also found that the number of second-hand homes available to buy is continuing to plummet and is down 17% in the last year.

The report concluded that house prices across the country rose by an average of 3.7% during the first three months of 2025.

The typical listed price nationwide was €346,048, nearly 12% higher than the same time last year and 35% higher than when the Covid-19 pandemic broke out in March 2020.
