Guido was 'a beautiful person inside and out'

THE Irish public has continued to pay tributes to an Italian student who died this week - after being left disabled 26 years ago when he was attacked on the streets of Dublin.

Guido, 43, who despite the attack harboured a love of Ireland and the people here, passed away on Wednesday in Italy following a cardiac arrest.

He was 17 and studying English in Dublin when he was brutally attacked. The teenager had never been abroad until he visited Ireland.

People from all over Ireland yesterday paid tribute and expressed sadness at his passing.
