THE blood alcohol content of the woman who has accused Irish firefighter Terence Crosbie of rape was significantly higher than Massachusetts’ legal limit for driving, a court has heard.

Hilary Griffiths, a forensic scientist at the Massachusetts State Police crime lab, testified that she had been involved in testing two blood samples from the alleged victim.

Ms Griffiths said the samples showed the alleged victim had 0.135% blood alcohol content when they were obtained at 6am, hours after the alleged attack.
