Chef Donal takes ill cooking & has SOS appendix op

DONAL Skehan has revealed he was rushed to hospital to undergo surgery for appendicitis.

The TV chef, 39, told how he began experiencing pain on Sunday, and that it “got worse and worse” until he was eventually rushed into A&E.

While at the Mater Hospital in Dublin, he learned he had appendicitis and needed an operation to have his appendix removed.

Donal said on Instagram: “Well I've now learned all I need to know about the appendix and appendicitis.

“The last 24 hours have been nonstop. Had the opp [appendectomy] last night to have it removed.”
